That’s good because, as the Gift Gurus could tell you, each of the past three years, I’ve made a (quite vocal) New Year’s resolution to become acquainted with Scotch. And each of the last three years, I’ve failed to take step one towards making good on that resolution (…like most resolutions!).

On the surface, there’s obviously something classically cool about confidently ordering and enjoying a Scotch. But aside from that coolness, I’ve genuinely just wanted to know more about and become less intimidated by Scotch whiskey. I’ve felt learning more about the history, the types, the production methods and about the producing regions of Scotch whisky would let me be able to dive in and start getting my feet wet with the “Water of Life”.

So here on July 27th I yet again try and commit myself to becoming more familiar with Scotland’s most famous import.

For now, here are some our gift ideas for the Scotch lover and/or beginner!
