As a Gift Guru, I’m all about adding the special touches to make a gift that much more memorable. A gift basket is a standard gift for lots of occasions but despite its ubiquity, there’s a lot of ways you can personalize it to suit your recipient’s tastes. After recently attending a bridal shower, I loved one of the ways a guest presented her gift. Instead of using a standard woven basket, she used a beverage tub and filled it with multiple bottles of wine. Each wine bottle had an attached handwritten tag, signifying all the future occasions the couple will celebrate together. One for their first anniversary, one for their first Valentine’s Day, one for their first child, and so on.
It was an extremely thoughtful gift and she also added fresh flowers to the tub to give it another special touch. It got me thinking of all the different ways you could fill a party tub as a gift basket. You could do it for graduation and fill it with fun stuff for their dorm, or even tasty chocolate and a bottle of wine for an adult version of an Easter basket. The possibilities are endless.
